Microsoft Brings Copilot on Telegram

Copilot for Telegram lets users talk with the AI chatbot as if they’re having a normal, one-on-one conversation with a friend.

Microsoft’s Copilot, a generative AI-powered tool that can generate text as well as answer specific questions, is now available as an in-app chatbot on Telegram, the instant messaging app.

Copilot for Telegram lets users talk with the AI chatbot as if they’re having a normal, one-on-one conversation with a friend. It can also answer a wide range of questions, from general knowledge queries like “What movie should I watch?” to questions such as “What baseball game is on right now?”

Users can access this chatbot with two easy methods. they can go to Microsoft’s microsite dedicated to the feature and click on the ‘Try Now’ button to go directly to the Telegram app and find the Copilot chatbot. Alternatively, users can manually open the messaging app and search for Copilot.

However, in case users opt for the second method, it is essential to ensure the authentic Copilot chatbot by looking for a blue check mark next to the name. There are multiple replica bots by the same name, and some of them can be malicious.

Presently, Copilot for Telegram, as a beta version, only works on text prompts, while multimodal understanding is expected to roll out once the product is out of its public testing phase. It can, however, access the internet and will be able to answer web-based queries. Microsoft suggests asking the AI bot about cheat codes and walkthroughs of video games, movie suggestions, dating tips, recipes, live scores, personalised playlists and more.
