Cloud adoption strategies for Retail and Consumer Goods Companies to be Discussed

Google Cloud and Datatechvibe have announced the next CIO Think Tank– a virtual meet specially designed to engage select technology leaders. To be held on April 20, 2021, the virtual meeting will bring together a group of carefully selected technology leaders to discuss critical topics.

Retail in focus

The pandemic accelerated the adoption of technologies already well underway, such as the digitalisation of shopping, banking and healthcare. As the retail industry faces new growth and shifting buying patterns, cloud computing is becoming a critical differentiator in delivering new digital experiences internally and externally.

This edition will focus on the competitive edge the cloud provides to retailers. Allowing them to strengthen omnichannel presence, build a data-centric customer strategy and optimise their operations. Apart from developing new functionalities, the aim for cloud computing is to support retailers in re-maning their businesses from customer’s recommendations, behaviour analytics and inventory data.

Speaking about the topic Laurie Becquart, Head of Retail Practice at Google Cloud Qatar, said, “Retailers need a partner that helps them adapt and respond with more flexibility and agility than ever before.”

Participation is by invitation only, and being closed-door encourages frank discussions amongst peers, resulting in a better technology strategy roadmap for organisations.
