The company’s GA4 integration is now available ahead of Google’s planned updates to its Google Analytics solution slated for July 2023, enabling its customers to preserve historical data

CallRail, the lead intelligence platform for businesses of all sizes, announced that it has launched its Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration, which is immediately available to all customers. Last year Google declared that as of July 1, 2023 it will move from tracking sessions to events, and all users who have not updated their websites will stop receiving traffic data at that time. Because historical data from Universal Analytics will no longer be available after this date, it is critical for businesses to update their Google Analytics integration several months in advance of the change.

CallRail’s Google Analytics 4 Integration gives businesses a complete way to report and analyse call data in Google Analytics, allowing more insight into visitor interactions than ever before. Marketers are now able to view call tracking data alongside other granular visitor events, all in Google Analytics 4 standard and custom reports. The integration also sends a variety of custom parameters for each event, enabling users to build custom reports based on tags, call duration, and whether the caller was a qualified lead.

CallRail’s Google Analytics 4 Integration allows businesses to:

  • Get a holistic view of what behaviour drives online visitors to call by viewing CallRail call tracking data along with their other online and offline customer journey data
  • See a caller’s website activity before and after placing a call, providing a clearer view of caller behaviour and the impact of each marketing campaign
  • Create customised marketing reports using information from all of the channels and sources they track, including phone calls, CRM data, and multiple other offline and online sources
  • Follow a user’s journey across devices, allowing them to attribute activity on multiple devices to one individual user and get insight into how different devices impact call behaviour

“CallRail is committed to helping our customers maintain a competitive edge by delivering the solutions they need to market with confidence. This requires our team to stay on top of technical updates within the platforms our customers use and ensure we’re offering timely improvements to our integrations that allow them unfettered access to valuable data. By launching our Google Analytics 4 integration well ahead of Google’s deadline, along with a library of resources to help businesses of all sizes navigate the change, we are confident our customers will be equipped to transition to this new chapter in attribution and reporting seamlessly,” said Ryan Johnson, CallRail’s SVP of Product Development.
