The Information Technology Institute (ITI) and Kaspersky have announced their collaboration to empower Juniors with cybersecurity skills and support the Egyptian citizens at large with awareness tools in the cybersecurity area.
The collaboration empowers the young generation with cybersecurity skills through precise educational content for “Cybersecurity for Juniors”, a new program that is part of ITI Cybersecurity Academy on Mahara-Tech. Taking a step further, Kaspersky will also provide 1000 participants with Safe Kids app subscriptions through this collaboration.
“The Internet has penetrated every aspect of our lives. So much that it has blurred private and public boundaries, often putting the lives of people and children in danger. Regarding children, we at Kaspersky strongly believe that early education is critical for building a safe and secure online environment. Our collaboration with ITI is another step in this direction, and we aim to set a benchmark. We want to showcase the importance of partnership between the government and private companies to harness the benefits of being cyber aware and using it to protect our children, offline and online,” said Genie Sugene Gan, Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy, APJ & META regions at Kaspersky.

ITI and Kaspersky have worked together throughout the previous years in cybersecurity training for university undergraduates.
