With Nokia’s networking support, Tencent Cloud will aim to help APAC-based enterprises and operators host and manage cloud-based applications and workloads.
Network infrastructure solutions provider Nokia has partnered with Tencent Cloud, the cloud business arm of Tencent, to support multi-cloud operations for enterprises in Singapore and Asia Pacific (APAC).
The alliance aims to integrate cloud services with network infrastructure, enabling business enterprises, network infrastructure service providers and data centres to upgrade and optimise their current IT environments for artificial intelligence (AI) innovation.
Nokia’s Vice President and Head of APAC Regional Business Centre for Network Infrastructure, Xulei Sang said, “By combining Nokia’s network infrastructure capabilities with Tencent Cloud’s expertise, we are able to jointly offer end-to-end, optimised premium cloud services and networking solutions for the cloud and data centre industries in Singapore and throughout Asia. Together, we provide significant additional value to enterprises in the region, supporting their digital transformation journeys.”
APAC’s Vice President of Tencent Cloud International, Bluefin Zhao, added, “Enterprises with the foresight to adopt and harmonise cloud-based tools to actively pursue commercial results will be able to embrace the AI future. It gives them a strategic advantage over companies that still view cloud solutions as just an efficiency driver.”
According to Nokia, its network infrastructure capabilities that enable cloud networking, advanced network automation and slicing and cross-border connectivity will help address multi-site and multi-cloud connectivity, coupled with security, agility and scalability.
With the networking support provided by Nokia, Tencent Cloud will aim to support enterprises and operators to host and manage cloud-based application and workloads that demands highly efficient computing, storage and infrastructure resources.
In the future, Tencent Cloud intends to continue recruiting local and regional partners to support their growing business, adding to their existing ecosystem of reportedly over 11,000 partners globally.
