Yondr Group has launched its first data centre in Northern Virginia. The company announced that its 48MW data centre in Loudoun County was ready for service.
The data centre was developed in partnership with JK Land Holdings, LLC.
Having broken ground on the facility in 2022, the first phase is now operational at what will eventually be a two-building campus with 96MW of IT capacity. Power for the building was switched on in December 2023.
A further 240MW is planned at a parcel adjacent to the site which will be part of the same Yondr campus. In total, Yondr’s Loudoun County campus will reach 336MW of IT capacity.

Works are ongoing at the second building on the campus, having broken ground in February 2024.

Yondr is also teaming up with the NOVA Educational Foundation and Northern Virginia Community College to create five scholarships for NOVA students enrolled in Engineering Technology or Data Center Operations programs.
This year has also seen Yondr complete its 100MW+ data centre campus in London, with a second building currently under construction and a third approved by local planning authorities. The company is also developing data centres in Frankfurt, Germany, and Johor, Malaysia.
In October 2024, DigitalBridge Group announced it would be acquiring Yondr through one of its managed investment funds. The deal is expected to close in early 2025.
Yondr is headquartered in London and is currently owned by single-family investment office Cathexis, Apollo Global Management, and Mubadala.
