Atos has acquired DataSentics, a Czech Republic-based technology consultancy specialising in data science, in its eighth deal this year.
Founded in 2016, DataSentics is a data science firm that focuses on developing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions. “Our team consists of 100 experienced data scientists and data engineers with a combination of experience both from the agile world of digital start-ups as well as major international corporations,” said Petr Bednarik, the founder of DataSentics.
From its headquarters in Prague, DataSentics sells its solutions to large enterprises in Central and Western Europe, focusing on clients in the financial services, retail and media industries. Major companies such as Allianz, Generali, Microsoft, Nestle, Red Bull, and Vienna Insurance Group are among the firm’s clients.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to expand our existing artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities,” said Pierre Barnabé, Executive Vice President and Head of Big Data & Security at Atos. “Our combined capabilities will help us deliver more business value to customers.”
The Czech deal builds on recent data science acquisitions, including Ipsotek in the UK and Miner & Kasch in the US.
Meanwhile, for DataSentics, the joining of forces with Atos will “accelerate how our artificial intelligence products and solutions make a real impact on enterprises across the world,” said Bednarik.
The terms and conditions of the deal have not been disclosed. The closing of the transaction is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2021.
