Fibocom, a global leading provider of IoT (Internet of Things) wireless solutions and wireless communication modules, announced the launch of the new LTE Advanced module series FM101.
Adopting the M.2 form-factor, Fibocom’s FM101 is an optimised LTE-A module series designed to boost highly efficient connectivity, ideally suitable for applications such as CPE, STB, IIoT etc.
Powered by the Snapdragon® X12+ LTE Modem, Fibocom’s FM101 wireless module series supports more than 20 LTE frequency bands as well as WCDMA fallback, delivering maximum data rates of up to 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink respectively. Along with abundant functionalities such as DFOTA, VoLTE and Audio, the Fibocom FM101 module series supports multi-constellation GNSS receivers, including GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo, for high-performance positioning and navigation.

Featuring Windows, Linux and Android operating systems, Fibocom’s FM101 module supports a rich set of Internet protocols and digital interfaces, including USIM, USB 3.0/2.0, PCIe 2.0, PCM/I2S and UART. At present, the engineering samples of FM101 are available for product testing and development, which provides solutions that help device OEMs and systems designers with their innovative new products, optimising business operations and processes.
