Liquid Web Launches GPU Hosting Offering

Liquid Web’s GPU hosting offering is designed for high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, including AI, machine learning, and rendering.

Managed hosting and cloud solutions provider Liquid Web has launched a bare metal GPU hosting solution.

Liquid Web’s GPU hosting offering is designed for high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and rendering.

The platform uses Nvidia GPUs, including L4, L40S, and H100 GPUs. According to Liquid Web’s CTO Ryan MacDonald, the platform offers up to 15% better GPU performance over virtualized environments at equal or lower costs.

The solution is an on-demand GPU bare metal offering and can be used with flexible hosting plans to meet specific performance requirements.

Sachin Puri, Chief Growth Officer of Liquid Web, said, “AI has infinite untapped potential, and we want to empower developers and AI innovators to harness the full power of Nvidia GPUs. With performance benchmarks that speak for themselves, this solution is the clear choice for accelerating AI workloads and maximising value.

MacDonald added, “As more businesses integrate AI and machine learning into their workflows, the demand for robust GPU resources is skyrocketing. We’ve developed a solution that not only addresses this need but does so with the same quality and depth of expertise that our customers have come to rely on.”

Liquid Web is a subsidiary of CloudOne Digital. The company provides infrastructure and cloud capabilities to small and medium businesses and has around 200,000 customers.

It offers services directly from two sites in the US and one in Europe, as well as 15 others via sister brands Servers.com and Nexcess. The firm owns and operates two data centres in Lansing, Michigan; the rest are likely through other providers.

In July 2023, CloudOne Digital acquired Servers.com, a provider of bare metal services, which joined the Liquid Web family.

CloudOne Digital is a holding company formed to house a portfolio of multi-cloud-based solution providers. As well as Liquid Web, the company owns commerce cloud provider Nexcess and WordPress services firm StellarWP. The company operates in the US.
