The acquisition of Everstream’s fibre network will be connected to Segra’s Southeast and Midwest networks.
Segra has announced the acquisition of Everstream’s fibre network in the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area. Fibrd network provider Segra, which is owned by Cox Communications, noted that the deal will add 1,000 route miles to its 43,000-mile national network. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Segra, the acquisition of Everstream’s fibre network will be connected to Segra’s Southeast and Midwest networks.
“This acquisition represents a key milestone in Segra’s strategy to bring competitive options to more customers,” said Kevin Anderson, CEO of Segra.
“By acquiring Everstream’s St. Louis assets, Segra broadens the reach of our best-in-class fibre network into a new market, and also reaffirms our commitment to delivering a white-glove customer service experience, greater network capacity, and innovative technology solutions to our customers.”
Everstream provides a business-only fibre network, which spans more than 27,500 route miles. Segra owns and operates a wide and dense fibre-optic infrastructure footprint that provides connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud, and collaboration solutions. The company serves more than 20,000 connected customer locations across 24 states and 43,000 fibre route miles.
The company was acquired by Cox Communications in 2021, before merging with Unite Private Networks (UPN) in July of last year.
