Shriro Holdings has been hacked with the business impacted claims management.
CEO Tim Hargraves claims that the distributor of Casio, Blanco, Omega and Everdure barbecues was subject to a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorised access to its operating systems.
He said that the cybersecurity incident has impacted the company’s operating systems and that the business is now dealing with the Federal Government’s Australian Cyber Security Centre.
He has not said whether the business has fallen foul of the Kaseya software problem that brought down businesses worldwide last week.

Huntress, a security company, said it believed the Russia-linked REvil ransomware gang was to blame. Last month, the FBI blamed the same group for paralysing the meatpacker JBS.
Hargraves said that Shriro Holdings has now engaged a leading cyber forensics firm to conduct an investigation and this investigation is ongoing.
Shriro has also commenced a comprehensive internal investigation to review its systems and processes.
Hargraves’s says “There is a possibility that data on our systems has been accessed and the Company is continuing to ascertain the extent to which data has been accessed. As investigations become more advanced Shriro will update the market and any impacted stakeholders directly”.
