Israeli based startup Talon Cyber Security, a recently launched startup, announced it has secured $26 million in seed funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Team8, serial entrepreneur Zohar Zisapel, and leading cybersecurity angel investors.
Talon is developing cybersecurity solutions for a distributed workforce and the new category of threats posed by workforce flexibility. Seed funding rounds are typically finalised for much lower amounts, attesting to the unique solution
Talon Cyber Security says its technology makes organisations safe by enabling all employees, no matter the device they are using or their location, to access their corporate resources securely, without compromising on privacy or productivity.
‘The distributed workforce presents a host of new cybersecurity challenges and exposes both large and small organisations to new types of threats that can’t be solved using existing solutions’, said Talon Cyber Security CEO Ofer Ben-Noon, who was also a co-founder of automotive cybersecurity company Argus, which was acquired by Continental in 2017 for an estimated $430 million.

The unique challenge of a distributed and remote workforce led him and his Talon co-founder Ohad Bobrov ‘to embark on this exciting journey’ and enter the market ‘to provide organisations with maximum flexibility, productivity and visibility while protecting them against cyber attacks that are becoming more and more sophisticated.’
Bobrov was the founder and CTO of Lacoon Mobile Security, a provider of security solutions for mobile phones, which was sold to Check Point in 2015 at an estimated $100 million.
